As of now, Ronald Tolman may call himself Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion. He was granted this high royal honour by Mayor Caro van Eert, assisted by Ronald's grandson Mees.
In his speech the Mayor said:
"Ronald Tolman is considered a great artist who works, thinks and lives with a very intense and strongly developed social and worldly commitment, and an eye for the fellow human being in society. There is an enormous diversity in more than 40 years; his work is both renowned in the Netherlands, as it is worldwide."
